Ingredients

  • 1 serving hot strongly brewed coffee
  • C milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 3-4 dashes of ground cinnamon + more to top
  • 1 scoop unflavored collagen powder*

Instructions

  • Brew your morning coffee as usual
  • In a liquid measuring cup, add milk, maple syrup and a few dashes of cinnamon. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute to warm up*
  • Add 1 scoop of collagen to the milk mixture and froth with a handheld milk frother
  • Pour coffee into your mug, filling it about ⅔ full
  • Top with frothed milk mixture and a few additional dashes of cinnamon

Notes

*If you do not have, or do not supplement your diet with collagen, you can simply skip this ingredient.
*If you do not have a handheld milk frother, you have a few different options of how to froth your milk:
Option 1: Place warm milk into a blender and blend until doubled in size.
Option 2: Place warmed milk into a large jar, seal the lid tightly, and shake until the volume has increased (shaking vigorously for about 1 minute).
Option 3: Warm your milk on the stove over medium heat until starting to steam (do not boil!). Turn off the stove and whisk until frothy.
*If preferred, you can warm and froth the milk mixture from steps 2 and 3 in the mug you plan to use and top with coffee instead. Add the dashes of cinnamon on top and enjoy!
