Ingredients

  • ¼ C granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • water for rimming glass
  • ½ C apple cider
  • ½ C ginger beer
  • optional: apple slices or a cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

  • Make the spiced sugar mixture by combining granulated sugar and pumpkin pie spice in a small mixing bowl
  • Rim your drink glass by dipping your finger in water and running it along the edge of the glass. Gently dip the glass into the spiced sugar mixture
  • Mix together equal parts apple cider and ginger beer and pour into the rimmed glass. Option to garnish with apple slices or a cinnamon stick
  • Enjoy!

Notes

*Alternative to pumpkin pie spice for the rim: If you do not have pumpkin pie spice you can use cinnamon instead for your spiced sugar rim.

*Apple juice is an ok substitute (but not ideal). If you’re in a bind, using apple juice instead of apple cider in this recipe will be fine. If possible, use an unsweetened apple juice.

*Sweetener option: If you need a little extra sweetness in your mocktail, add a splash of simple syrup or maple syrup (start with ½ teaspoon and add more to taste).
