Notes
*Option to use strongly brewed coffee instead of espresso. If you do not make espresso at home, brew strong coffee instead. Do this by increasing the amount of coffee grounds used in your normal brewing method to make a more concentrated coffee. A good place to start is by adding one or two extra scoops of grounds.*How to make an iced eggnog latte:Allow your espresso (or coffee) to cool to room temperature (or use cold brew coffee). Add all ingredients to a tall glass with ice. No frothing required for an iced eggnog coffee!*Other recipe substitutions and variations:
Make it EXTRA rich and creamy and skip the milk! This will result in a thicker latte consistency.
Add a sweetener. If you prefer coffee drinks that are very sweet, add a little granulated sugar or maple syrup to your coffee.
Make a decaf eggnog latte. If you'd like to enjoy a cozy cup of eggnog coffee at night, or cannot have caffeine, use your favorite decaf coffee or espresso in this recipe.
*How to froth milk without a milk frother?
Option 1: Place warm milk into a blender and blend until doubled in size.
Option 2: Place warmed milk into a large jar, seal the lid tightly, and shake until the volume has increased (shaking vigorously for about 1 minute).
Option 3: Warm your milk on the stove over medium heat until starting to steam (do not boil!). Turn off the stove and whisk until frothy.
*The time noted on the recipe card does not include brew time for your espresso (or coffee) as this will vary widely depending on your preferred brewing method.
