Instructions
Add all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the food processor basin as needed and add additional lime juice, 1 teaspoon at a time, to help with blending / get it silky smooth if needed.
6-7 ounces avocado, 1 Cup low-fat cottage cheese, 1-2 cloves garlic, ¼ Cup fresh cilantro, stems removed, 3 Tablespoons fresh-squeezed lime juice, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon salt + more to taste, ¼ teaspoon black pepper + more to taste
Taste the dip and adjust the salt and pepper if desired.
Serve with your favorite dippers and enjoy!

Notes
Variation Ideas:
Use lemon juice instead of lime juice. Fresh lemon juice works great and gives the dip a slightly different but still delicious citrus flavor.
Use fresh onion instead of onion powder. Start with 2 tablespoons of minced purple onion (or red onion).
Amp up the garlic. Add a second garlic clove if you're a garlic lover! This makes the dip even more flavorful and aromatic.
Add jalapeño for spice. Blend in half of a jalapeño for added heat. Include the ribs and seeds if you want it extra spicy, or remove them for a milder kick.
Add a pinch of cumin, cayenne, and/or chili powder for more flavor. I do this when making regular guacamole, so it's a natural add-in if you're really going for a guac replacement.
Try different herbs. If you'd like this to be more of a veggie dip than a guacamole (or just don't like cilantro), try using fresh parsley and/or the tops of green onions for a different herby twist.
Make it lactose-free. Use a lactose-free cottage cheese for those who are lactose intolerant but still want the protein boost and creamy texture.
Storage: Store leftover avocado cottage cheese dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dip before sealing the container to help prevent browning. Give the dip a good stir before serving leftovers, as some separation may occur as it sits.*Note: nutrition calculations do not include dipping items as everyone will make different selections.
