If you’re going to have a salted rim, run a lime wedge around the rim of your glasses and dip into a small dish filled with 3-4 Tablespoons of salt. Set your glasses aside.
Juice the orange and lime. If desired, strain into your cocktail shaker.
Place the remainder of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is very cold (approximately 15 seconds).
Divide between two glasses filled with ice and enjoy!
Notes
*Add a salted rim, or a sugar-salt rim, for a little added fun! To add a rim to your margarita glasses, run a lime wedge around the rim of your glasses and dip into a small dish filled with 3-4 Tablespoons of salt, sugar, or a combination of salt and sugar
*Need to add a little sweetness to take the edge off of this bright and citrusy marg? Add a little simple syrup! I’d recommend trying your pineapple cocktail after shaking it up, and if a little sweetness would be preferred, stir in ½ oz of simple syrup to your glass.
*Find a blanco tequila you like for the most enjoyable margarita! Since this skinny pineapple margarita is made with fresh juices and not a lot else, using a good quality tequila is extra important.
