Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Quick and easy to make! Measure, shake, serve and enjoy!

Simple ingredients. A short ingredient list that includes easy to get items like fresh fruit, water, vodka, and an easy homemade blueberry syrup that you can prep ahead of time and store in the fridge to enjoy these for weeks at a time.

Awesome flavor. Bright and citrusy lemon paired with sweet blueberry comes together to create an wonderfully tasty drink.

Light and refreshing. The perfect drink to enjoy on a hot summer afternoon.

Ingredients Needed

Ingredients needed to make a blueberry vodka lemonade.
  • Fresh Lemons. The fresh lemon juice is a must for this spiked blueberry lemonade recipe. You’ll also use a lemon wedge or lemon slices as garnish.
  • Blueberry syrup. Blueberry simple syrup is a key component to this delicious cocktail (and making your own is super easy too!).
  • Water. Necessary for any homemade lemonade recipe, used to help dilute the tart lemon juice.
  • Unflavored Vodka. Use your favorite vodka for this refreshing blueberry vodka lemonade cocktail recipe.
  • Ice. Used for shaking and serving to keep your cocktail nice and cold.
  • Fresh blueberries. Used for garnish, adding a pop of color and fun to your drink.

See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

Recipe Variations and Substitutions

  • Adjust the ratio of water to lemon juice to your desired tartness level. If the homemade blueberry lemonade is too tart for you, increase the amount of water (one ounce at a time) until your perfect level of tart-to-sweet is reached.
  • Add fresh herbs. Fresh mint or fresh basil would be great additions to this refreshing drink. There are a few ways to do this. Option 1 is to add fresh herb leaves to your cocktail shaker to help release the flavors. Option 2 is to garnish your drink with a sprig of fresh mint or sprig of fresh basil.
  • Add some bubbles. Top with a splash of club soda or sparkling water for a sparkling blueberry vodka drink.

Having a Party? Make This Into a Large-Batch Cocktail

While the recipe card outlines how to make two single cocktails, this is a great drink to make into a large scale cocktail for parties too!

To make this into a pitcher cocktail, add 1.5 cups lemon juice + 1.5-2 cups cold water + 1.5 cups blueberry syrup + 1 cup vodka to a large pitcher and stir to combine. Store the pitcher in the fridge, without ice, until ready to serve. When ready to serve, you can add ice to individual glasses or into the pitcher.

Helpful Equipment

Using a jigger to measure out your cocktail ingredients is always helpful. A citrus juicer and cocktail shaker are also helpful for this refreshing cocktail recipe.
