Cherry Lime Mocktail

Sharing is caring!

Jump to Recipe

This easy cherry mocktail recipe with lime tastes similar to beloved Sonic Cherry Limeade, but with far fewer calories! Easy to make, and even easier to sip on, this refreshing mocktail is the perfect choice the whole family can enjoy on a hot summer day.

The focus of this image is on the center glass, filled with this lime and cherry mocktail and ice, and garnished with a slice of lime and cherry on a cocktail pick. The glass sits on a two white coasters, and there are additional glasses filled with this easy non alcoholic drink in the foreground and background. The glass is also surrounded with juiced limes, cherries, and ice.

You guys know I love mocktail recipes. They’re a great way to include kids and those abstaining from alcohol in the fun. In addition to our mojito mocktail and grapefruit mocktail, this cherry lime mocktail is always on heavy rotation in our house during the summertime.

Plus, this simple drink recipe uses minimal ingredients and can be mixed up quickly. Quick, easy, and delicious? That’s a winner in my book!

While some sparkling water mocktails can leave you underwhelmed, this refreshing cherry lime mocktail has a great flavor profile with the perfect balance of sweet and tart. And you can sip on it happy knowing that this drink doesn’t have the extra calories or sugar from soda!

A cherry lime mocktail is a great option for those looking for mocktails for pregnancy, mocktails for kids, or non alcoholic drinks to serve at a party. Also a great drink option for when you’re just hanging out at home, because it’s always a good time for a fun mocktail.

What is a Mocktail?

Mocktails are specialty non-alcoholic drinks. Sometimes they are non-alcoholic versions of cocktails, and sometimes they are fun drink recipes all on their own. Mocktails are great for those wishing to abstain from alcohol, for kids, and for pregnant women.

Why You’ll Love This Cherry Lime Mocktail Recipe

Quick and easy recipe to make! Measure, stir, and enjoy. That’s it!

Awesome Flavor. This delicious drink has a lovely cherry flavor with just the right amount of lime… the perfect balance of flavors!

So refreshing! This tasty drink is the perfect choice for a hot day.

Ingredients for This Cherry Lime Drink

Ingredient shot for this easy mocktail recipe, includes cherry grenadine, lime sparkling water, fresh limes, and ice. There are also fresh cherries, ice, and cocktail picks in the image.

Cherry Simple Syrup. You can use homemade cherry simple syrup or store-bought cherry syrup.

Fresh-Squeezed Lime Juice. You really can’t beat fresh lime juice in this recipe, but in a pinch, the bottled lime juice will do just fine.

Lime Sparkling Water. Using lime sparkling water is a great way to reduce sugar and calories in our mocktail but still add lime flavor! Use whatever brand of lime sparkling water you enjoy best to make your sparkling cherry limeade mocktail.

Ice Cubes for Serving. Just enough to keep your drink nice and cold.

Optional Garnish: Fresh Cherries, Lime Slices or a Lime Wedge, a sprig of fresh mint, or a combination are lovely options for serving.

See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

Tart Cherry Mocktail Recipe Variations

Replace the lime sparkling water with lemon-lime soda. If you’d like your drink a little sweeter, or you happen to have lemon-lime soda on hand, you can replace the lime sparkling water 1-for-1 in this recipe.

Use club soda in place of the lime sparkling water. If you have club soda on hand, you can definitely use it for this recipe. If doing so, I’d recommend adding a little extra lime juice.

Muddle in some fresh sweet cherries. If you’re in the midst of cherry season, it’s the perfect time to add some fresh fruit to your drink! To do so, remove the stems and pits from 2-3 cherries, and then muddle the fruit with your simple syrup in the bottom of your glass.

Muddle in some maraschino cherries. If you’ve got a jar of maraschino cherries sitting in your bar cart or pantry, you can always add a few to your drink! To do so, add 2-3 cherries to the bottom of your glass and muddle the fruit with your simple syrup.

Prefer a Cherry Lime Cocktail Instead?

If you’d prefer to make the adult version of this mocktail instead, add 1-2oz of vodka to your drink.

How to Make This Cherry Mocktail with Lime

Fill a lowball (or rocks glass) full of ice.

Add cherry simple syrup and lime juice to the glass.

Top with lime sparkling water and stir to combine.

Garnish with a slice of lime and a cherry if desired.

Enjoy!
