The strawberry mocha is surrounded by pieces of chocolate, coffee beans, fresh strawberries, and tan and red linen, with another mug in the background.

I love coffee. My day cannot start without my morning cup of coffee. You might say I’m slightly dependent on my morning caffeine kick… it’s ok, I’m the first to admit it. And sometimes you just want to mix things up and make something that’s extra fun and special.

This chocolate strawberry coffee is such a treat. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. While this is a great Valentine’s coffee for folks who love Valentine’s chocolate covered strawberries, it’s also great for those looking for different coffee drinks to make at home! If you love fancy coffees, this chocolate covered strawberry coffee is for you.

STRAWBERRY COFFEE VS. STRAWBERRY MOCHA

This drink is not officially a strawberry mocha as it is made with strong brewed coffee instead of espresso. A cafe mocha is prepared by mixing one part espresso with two parts steamed milk and chocolate powder or syrup. While delicious, most of us just make coffee in a regular drip pot…which is why I created this fun mocha-esque recipe as an easy at home fancy coffee. If you have the ability to brew espresso at home, you can substitute espresso for the coffee in this recipe too.

FAQS

What chocolate syrup and strawberry syrup should I use in this strawberry mocha recipe? I personally like to use Torani’s dark chocolate syrup as well as their Puremade Strawberry Syrup in this chocolate covered strawberry coffee recipe. Monin’s strawberry syrup and chocolate sauce would be another great option. You can also see what is available in your local grocery store.
